Valorie N. Parker, Businesswoman and Author, will be hosting her 4th Annual Soul of a Woman Retreat, August 7th & 8th 2009 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at the beautiful Diplomat Country Club. The retreat will focus on issues and concerns of both Men and Women.

The opening dinner will feature Bishop Carlos Malone, Speaker and Author pf the "Rib Connection". Workshops on August 8th will feature Tawana Williams. Tawana is a motivational speaker born without arms. She will be speaking about “The power of love” along with her husband, Keither.

Dr. DJ Roker will be speaking on “The power of forgiveness”, Sylvia Dunnavant will speak on “Diamonds don’t beg”, Leon Muhammad, “Protecting the family & building the future”, Anita Hicks, ‘Living an authentic life’, Gloria Ramirez, Estelle Blumberg will lead us in the rap session for the ladies and the men will be guided by Bishop Malone & Dr. Roker, and many more.

Other topics will include: How to turn pain into power; Divorced, how do I begin again; How to recover from infidelity. 

Men and women will have separate workshops so that individuals may have liberty to express themselves freely. This retreat is for single and married individuals (all welcome).  We will conclude the retreat with a 70’s party.  Registration is only $245 per person 1-866-692-7473.

We bring to you 5 Motivational Speakers (Tawana, Erica, LaShawn, Jenny and Valorie) that wil speak life into your current situation.  Each speaker comes from various backgrounds that brings a life and richness on the tour.
 
Pain - Tawana will share how the pains of her life pushed her into a change of mindset which ultimately changed her life. It changed her life so much so that she was able to change diapers, braid hair, draw and write with her feet. She will share her journey with you.
 
Passion - Jenny will share how she was so passionate about becoming an author that she wrote her book with two fingers. She pushed through adversities into what she was passionate about and now she will share with you how to put action to your passions. She is an author, motivational speaker and coach.
 
Purpose - LaShawn will share how to discover your purpose in life. She has been through many transitions but they pushed her into her purpose. She now travels the world to help others discover their purpose.
 
Perseverance - Valorie is a lady whose life is accomplished as a result of perseverance. She will share how she persevered through many of life's adversities. She held on and pushed until she accomplished her dreams. She has a story that takes her from a happy marriage, to a garage to, living her dreams. And to close the conference out Erica is going to give you a blue print to success. Valorie N. Parker Launches Ministry - Grace, Mercy and Peace

Bridgeport, Connecticut ---For over a decade, Valorie Parker has been booking internationally renowned motivational speaker, Les Brown.  As CEO of Arise by VNP, she has assisted him in getting speaking engagements all over the world.  Now, Parker is stepping from behind the scenes, as she picks up the mike herself, and launches an enriching and empowering ministry with her two friends: Sylvia Dunnavant, and Shirley Carter.  

“When Les is speaking he says he hears the voices of the people.  Well, I don’t hear voices, but I feel the spirits of the people whenever I am in a room.  Over the years of traveling with Les, I have been so overwhelmed with the internal crying out of so many people, because there are so many broken people out there just waiting to be spiritually healed, “says Parker, who after 19 years of being in a domestic abusive marriage definitely understands being spiritually broken.  

Parker, Dunnavant and Carter will be launching their empowering ministry called Grace, Mercy and Peace on Wednesday, November 5^th at New Vision International Ministries, in Bridgeport, Connecticut were Pastor Derek L. Calhoun is the Senior Pastor.  The event will be a part of Pastor Calhoun’s Ninth Year Church Anniversary Celebration.

“Women today are by default going through a plethora of known and hidden issues created by the dysfunctional family system and the lack of male or fatherly influence in our communities.  In this myriad of wounded frontline soldiers emerges a “D.E.N.” of women with the fighting spirit of Deborah; the courage of Esther and the wisdom and stamina of Naomi.  New Vision International Ministries welcomes, Grace, Mercy and Peace to our platform,” says Pastor Calhoun.

There is no doubt that these three women who have developed a close friendship over the years are excited about taking some of their personal life testimonies to help women across the country walk in victory.

“The three of us have been through so much. Valorie has survived domestic abuse, Shirley is a two time breast cancer survivor, and I have just simply learned how to survive and celebrate life in the midst of tragedy. We decided to come together, so that we can help all women walk in the victory that God has given us,” says Dunnavant.
